Needleworks

After Good Friday service, my cousin, cousin-in-law and I went down to Jin Long. For what? I don’t know. I just needed to be out and about, hoping to have some quality of life. Ok la… to eat my favourite chinese dessert from the dessert stall there too.

Shopped around and ended up buying this pathetically small kimono cloth for $6.90. In the end, I followed them back to their place where they taught me how to use a sewing machine and I left a proud owner of a handmade mobile pouch =)

My cousin-in-law came up with the ‘how-to-do-it’ steps and I merely followed suit. This tiny pouch might look simple but it was quite mind-boggling just figuring out how to make it double-layered!

I love this handmade tissue pouch from Ange to bits!
Thank you for this meaningful Christmas gift!

This was what I did with the cloth from Spotlight.

Sew about a 1inch edge, making sure the space is sufficient for the elastic band.

Sew the two widths of the cloth together.
Iron the folded widths so that it’s easier pinning and sewing it.

I’ve been multitasking.
Juggling my brains and hands with half-cooked ideas, which I’m so so excited about.

Salmon-coloured polka dotted cloth to make a puff-skirt.
(Look at next picture for the true colour)

Knitting – in – process. For my laptop sleeve.
I’d wanted it to be a tote bag. But I casted on too little!

Murakami’s Underground.
I’ve to admit that it was all the hype which got me intrigued and subsequently purchasing it.
I’ve decided to start off with Underground because you can’t go wrong with non-fiction.
Anything non-fiction is sure to fly off the shelves like pancakes!
After all, people are pervasively Kaypoh by nature.

Plus, getting near-daily luncheons prepared by cozzie.
I’m not complaining.

I wonder how many people, like me, still latch on to their security-pillows. If you’re one of them, perhaps you would have came across the problem of finding pillowcases to fit your security-pillows, which strangely, are made up of all sizes.

Recently, I bought a Duvet set which comes with 2 pillowcases, and since I’ve only 1 pillow, I cut up 1 of the pillowcases and sewed into 2 small pillowcases for my 2 security pillows. Now, all I’m missing is just a matching bolster case.
