Installations

Wrapped up classes for my Art modules today. There was this hinge of sadness even though we really ought to be celebrating. Art classes make me happy even if I appear gloomy 99% of the time. This only meant I’m left to deal with 3 more tiring and trying assignments. Crap. I should have just majored in Arts.. at least I will be a happy-grump.

My 8.30am friends.

Nothing pleases me more than spending time making Art. The epitome of my life the last 4years truly.
Thanks to J.C who accommodated my interferences in his FYP… I’ve got these beautiful Nano pictures for my New Media Art work.

Jemma and I went for the Singapore Children Art Biennale at South Beach Development today. It was rather empty and you don’t see much kids around. I guess the program wasn’t really targeted at children with the exception of the candy floss, pop corn, magic show and wind -mill making. The white rabbit hunt wasn’t a very interactive affair though… at least not with the installations.

Pictures of Jemma hard at work!

Today, I had a workshop on Art Conservation held at NUS Museum. The few hours there were very effective and fruitful and I went away with thoughts on breaking my bond to be a conservator! Even though what the conservator covered was probably just the tip of the iceberg of the specialty, I found myself looking at paintings at SAM with a whole new perspective. Amazing few hours huh?

I thought it more like a gallery or an Art school. This may sound old-school and conservative but I still very much prefer SAM. I’m eagerly anticipating our workshop there in Sept plus the impeding biennale.
