August 2009

Thinking back on how our paths crossed, it really felt like it’s lifted straight off some obscure melodrama. After all these surreal months, I still feel thankful that:

1. Jean decided to shorten our trip by a day.

2. Malaysian Airlines had their super cheap airfares then.

3. The Indian clan decided to stall up everyone else in queue for at least
30 minutes.

4. For some reason or another, the bf was booked onto Malaysian Airlines
rather than SQ that week.

5. The bf adamantly decided to queue behind us when checking in (yes, even
though he knew that the queue was not moving)

6. The bf wasn’t really reading his newspapers when I walked past and
smiled (pitifully, since he was still stuck in queue when we left).

7. He smiled back and started to eavesdrop on our conversation.

8. He then very randomly interrupted and joined in our conversation.

and of course, ripple effect throughout everything else…

=)

Give thanks with a grateful heart,
Give thanks to the Holy One,
Give thanks because He’s given
Jesus Christ His Son.

And now let the weak say “I am strong.”
Let the poor say “I am rich.”
Because of what the Lord has done
for us
Give thanks.

-Give thanks with a grateful heart.

Preacher played this for singspiration a few days in a row, and it never fails to bring a smile to my face the past few early mornings. Each day at 7.10am, I thank God for crossing our paths, for filling my life with so much more.
