Truly blessed birthday this year.
The day began with a hearty early morning breakfast treat by Cozzie and ended with a surprise cake and dinner at Fish & Co. with J.C. Thanks Buddy for the surprise cake even though I was grumpier than usual and insisted on calling for the bill the moment I spied three hideous lizards. Though I may look grumpy and extremely pissy, I was truly touched by your lousy toilet-excuses.
Cozzie… I know that you’d to drag yourself out of bed and was probably hammering your own brain when you asked me out for a birthday breakfast at 9am today. Thank ewww for the wonderful and quiet birthday breakfast. It was a great onset to otherwise another ordinary day.
Ange and Yuna… thanks for remembering and celebrating with me at Fishmarket on Monday. I know that it took a lot for the both of you to pull your bodies and minds away from the stacks of assignments and other committments you have. I appreciate the dinner truly. It was a pleasant respite to the assignment-craze.
And for all the other random well-wishers… thank you for remembering.
I thank God for all of you … for giving me so much more, more than times when I felt I had it all.

An airy-fairy post for my airy-fairy cozzie on her 23rd birthday!
P/S: She adores Dumbo and Cinderella and thinks that being drowsy helps her to work better.
Cozzie did this for me on her blog. I’m touched to bits by this special gesture. I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by people who never fail to keep me on their mind even when assignments and exams are taking up all their sleeping and breathing time. I give thanks to God for all of you good people.
Thank eww everyone. Really.

The girl who turned into a bed
It happened that day
she picked up a strange pussy willow.
Her head swelled up white
and a soft as a pillow.
Her skin, which had turned
all flaky and rotten,
was now replaced
with 100% cotton.
Through her organs and torso
she sprouted like wings,
a beautiful set
of matress and springs.
It was so terribly strange
that I started to weep.
But at least after that
I had a nice place to sleep
For today’s lesson, we’re to bring a poem for sharing in a literacy circle.
I guess it has to be your favourite poem? Otherwise, why bother sharing. I can’t think of any poem which I enjoy except for the Tim Burton’s ones. Warped but I guess it will do great. Hurhur.
*edited: My friend read the Tim Burton’s ‘The melancholy death of the oyster boy’ which I brought for poetry circle this afternoon and his first reaction was “WTF”.

Wrapped up classes for my Art modules today. There was this hinge of sadness even though we really ought to be celebrating. Art classes make me happy even if I appear gloomy 99% of the time. This only meant I’m left to deal with 3 more tiring and trying assignments. Crap. I should have just majored in Arts.. at least I will be a happy-grump.

My 8.30am friends.
