Yesterday was our charity fair.
No doubt the whole school was like a bustling marketplace, I’m sure everyone had fun indulging in retail therapy or partaking in the games and sales.

I’m glad to be a part of the whole process from wrapping to pricing to selling.

Preparations – the hard work behind it all

The girls wrapping the stuff and making the price tags.

Notice the boy at the extreme left?
He’s from Shuyan’s P3 class and he had been eyeing on the eeyore and tigger soft toys from day 1.
He even wanted to buy from us there and then!

The girls and peace.

Then of course, more came to help later on.
Ayisha with the pricing of the Enid Blyton books.

and Jordan with the scotch tape.

Some of the stuff which we packed.

The day of the charity fair

Why is the school so empty?
Because the whole world is at the school hall!

Notice the girl at the bottom of the picture?
Immediately after I took this picture, she grabbed my hands,
“Miss Lim, come to 3E and buy something from our stall”
(I teach their class for Art – and ended up with a $2 Eeyore from there. It’s considerably cheap because my stall hiked up the price for our Eeyore to $6!)

Meanwhile, teachers hard at work – selling Charity coupons.

This is our class’s stall.

One of many posters which my pupils made during our Art lessons.

Bookmarks hand-drawn by one of my girls.
Very talented in drawing.

Below are the salesmen/saleswomen of the class.

The pupils pestering Miss Chen to purchase every single thing.
She bought quite a few I think. HAHA.

One of many P6 boys who came specially for our friendship bands.
They sold like hotcakes!
This boy insisted that he’s photogenic and even posed for me.

As usual, I will not miss a single opportunity of retail therapy.
These are my purchases with $10 worth of coupons.

Eeyore for $2 from 3E.

Classic Enid Blyton’s. Way before my time!
I bought them from my own class.
My pupils sold them to me at 2 for $0.50 instead of the usual $2.
This is why I love them.

Hanna at $0.50.

A pair of earrings at $3.

A handmade clay-clip for $1.

Pencils at 4 for $1.50.
In case you’re wondering what happened to the other $1.50, I bought 3 friendship bands from my own class.

And my supervisor made this pair of angel earrings for me.

All in all… a good experience and a fun day at school =)
