July 2008

Well.. BBQ completes the class gathering marathon.
I have a hunch that this bond and gathering tradition will carry on for gazillion years.
We can all use a crapping session every now and then – it will do us ALL good.

Yesterday was our charity fair.
No doubt the whole school was like a bustling marketplace, I’m sure everyone had fun indulging in retail therapy or partaking in the games and sales.

I’m glad to be a part of the whole process from wrapping to pricing to selling.

Preparations – the hard work behind it all

The girls wrapping the stuff and making the price tags.

Notice the boy at the extreme left?
He’s from Shuyan’s P3 class and he had been eyeing on the eeyore and tigger soft toys from day 1.
He even wanted to buy from us there and then!

Teachers do have some kind of life after all.
Met up with the 4/1 family to catch up on semi-annual gossips tonight.
Wonderful. Wonderful. Time I had.

I didn’t snap much tonight.
More over with the rest.

Presenting the 4/1 gang.

You know opportunity cost?
It was celebrating our random 10th year of friendship over lesson plans.
Best yet, I got my hair cut today at 50% off and a free lunch thrown in by my hairstylist.
Hehe …

What can I say… I’m delirious today.
I’m forever thankful for still having some kind of life instead of marking books blatantly each day.
But like all opportunity cost, there’s always a catch. Tomorrow.

Still.. it was a happy Saturday!
Cheers to a decade old of friendship =)

A lot of camwhoring at work here.
DO NOT click on more if you DO NOT want to see pictures filled with just Xin and I.

… is made much happier with these people around.
There are more of us but I didn’t manage to snap the others – some were teaching, grabbing lunch or simply disappeared after a tedious morning.

With Shuyan.

and Jean.

Please don’t be fooled our happy faces.
It was just a 2 minutes photo-taking session then back to dwelling in lesson planning, mountains of books, strenuous markings and lesson preparations.

My eye bags are now a permanent fixture, etched firmly to my face.
