Tonight was baking night for potluck Sunday.

The old trustworthy Kenwood still did its job well and good. But I really want a KitchenAid mixer.

Butter, sugar, eggs, flour and cocoa powder.

Melting the milk chocolate. I was rather adamant on wearing an apron.

Folding in the milk and chocolate.

Mixture ready to be placed in the oven.

D. mashing the raspberries.

Sifting the icing sugar with our new sift.

Icing sugar, thickened cream and raspberries. A yummy-fattening mixture which I couldn’t stop eating.

I’ve a habit of opening the fridge for the sake of opening it, secretly hoping that some new food will miraculously appear. Something like the magic porridge pot?

We made agar-agar too, at the request of our aunts. They wanted fruits – so we threw in apples and pineapples. Basically, we took whatever fruits we could gather in the fridge. Just one step short of adding in papaya too. Hurhur.

The cupcakes didn’t turn out all pretty. But it tasted really good with the crushed-berry cream.
It wasn’t too sweet and it had a tinge of fruity-sourness.

D. and I were famished after an hour-plus of baking so she suggested Instant noodles with abalone – Nick’s style.
Thank god the two of us love baking.
